This is a non-bargaining unit position.
This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Administrative Services in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all phases of the facilities program dealing with space, property, safety, messenger service and motor vehicles designed to increase the effectiveness of SBA's operations.
Duties
Uses space management and security and safety practices and procedures to develop effective programs.
Communicates with customers to provide quality customer service within the area of facilities and space management.
Provides property and facilities management and analyzes data to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.
Ensure sounds financial management principles are followed for appropriate budget controls within the work unit.
Provides project management including appropriate staff and resources to effectively complete space, facilities, and security projects.
Utilizes Federal security forms, records, systems, databases, and other information sources and procedures to obtain and evaluate information in support of security requirements.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: working with federal space management regulations, policies, and procedures to provide technical advice and guidance to program staff; has extensive knowledge of the management of government owned or leased facilities. This must be clearly reflected on your resume.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled
