This PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (ACCELERATED HIRE) is located in one of the following locations: ANG Wing with/or without geographically separated units (GSU) or ARNG Region located in a State that is divided into multiple regions (within the State) not servicing one specific BDE or JFHQ-STATE and is part of the CA JFHQ J1 HRO.
Duties
THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION.
The primary purpose of the PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (ACCELERATED HIRE), GS-0101-11, is to implement and support integrated prevention programs. It collaboratively identifies, implements, and assesses public health-informed and evidence-based prevention policy, practices, programs and processes. Supports healthy climate/culture to eliminate harassment, sexual violence, family violence and self-directed harm using a public health perspective and socio-ecological theoretical lens. This involves an integrated, multi-agency, and collaborative approach with other Wings/Regions, Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), and local programs with a nexus to integrated primary prevention (IPP) efforts.
Qualifications
PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (ACCELERATED HIRE), GS-0101-11: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.

Education
Degree inbehavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that includes at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences or Combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
