This position is assigned to the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) Program Office, in the Diplomatic Security Service, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/DSS/OSAC). You will oversee a wide range of activities designed to support OSAC regional and industry specific networks groups through the coordination and management of programs and events that promote information sharing between the private and public sectors and support the safe operations of U.S. interests overseas.
Duties
Outlines, manages, coordinates, and implements the life cycle of program and event planning, including all assigned details for a variety of in person, virtual, and hybrid events (e.g., advertising/promoting, speaker coordination, communications).
Provides advice and assistance for OSAC public speaking initiatives including developing and organizing public speaking opportunities, identifying, and recruiting speakers with relevant expertise, and planning and coordinating agendas and speeches.
Works closely with senior level private sector officials, both domestically and overseas, to develop and improve programs which exchange information relevant to the overseas security environment.
Serves as an advisor and authoritative expert in activities that promote information sharing between the private and public sectors and support the safe operations of U.S. interests overseas.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience applying project management principles and practices sufficient to plan and coordinate a broad range of activities for the purpose of public/private information sharing events, conferences, and meetings;
-Experience providing advice and assistance for public speaking initiatives to include developing and organizing public speaking opportunities, identifying speakers with relevant expertise, and planning and coordinating agendas and speeches;
-Experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement; and
-Experience providing expert analytical and advisory services related to the exchange of security and intelligence information.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
