About the position: This position will be assigned to the NAF Accounting Office located on Tyndall AFB, FL.

Duties

Including but not limited to the following: Performs double-entry accrual accounting on order to maintain a combination of computer generated journals and ledgers. Examines, verifies, and analyzes a variety of documents to determine their mathematical validity and accuracy. Individual is responsible for resolving discrepancies between contract vendors, business managers and patrons. Ensures that cash and negotiable instruments are accounted for and safeguarded at all times. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Have progressively responsible experience in the work which requires a knowledge of double-entry accounting procedures and techniques. Can substitute 12 college accounting semester hours that demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of this position for work experience. Must have demonstrated arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy to attention to detail and the ability to compile and record data. Must have working knowledge of computer accounting applications.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow 12 college accounting semester hours to substitute for work experience.
