You will serve as a Supervisory Industrial Specialist, Branch Head, MDMC Forward Branch, Production Support Division, Production Plant Albany (PPA), Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC), for MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY.
THIS POSITION MAY BE MADE PERMENANT WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION.
Duties
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
You will review work methods and procedures for opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness, has responsibility for finding ways to eliminate significate bottlenecks and barriers to production.
You will evaluate performance of subordinate supervisors or leaders and serve as reviewing official on evaluations of non supervisory employees rated by subordinate supervisors.
You will identify training needs and provide or arrange for development, makes decisions on non-routine, costly or controversial training needs and training request related to employees of the unit.
You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager.
You will coordinate movement of personnel, equipment and material to deployed sites, CONUS or OCONUS.
You will fully plan and conduct industrial base assessments for a wide range of weapon systems production or acquisitions related to the re-manufacturing, rebuild, repair, and/or modification.
You will provide guidance and technical advice concerning facilities, machinery, methods, materials, equipment, and standards for industrial production.
You will broadly coordinate the development and implementation of procedures to successfully monitor and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing, re-manufacturing, rebuild, repair, modification, and/or maintenance operations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of industrial operations and manufacturing, remanufacturing, rebuilds, repair, modification and/or maintenance processes for weapon systems and equipment.
Knowledge of industrial organizations, management and business practices.
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, statement of work (SOW), and acquisition documents.
