The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is a component within the Executive Office of the President that helps Federal departments and agencies implement the commitments and priorities of the President. OMB is seeking candidates for a Supervisory Policy Analyst position.
Duties
As a Supervisory Policy Analyst, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Overseeing the operational and administrative functions of IT modernization policy development, agency engagement and governance.
Providing expert advice and consultation to policy officials regarding the programs under their responsibility.
Developing and analyzing major policy issues, highlighting alternative approaches that might be taken to resolve problems, and making and defending recommendations.
Exercising full supervisory responsibility including but not limited to assigning, directing, and evaluating the work of subordinate employees.
Requirements

- This is a Drug Testing Designated Position (DTDP) and is covered by the Executive Office of the President Drug-Free Workplace Program.

- You must be able to obtain and hold a Top Security clearance.

- You may be required to complete a one-year trial/probationary period if not previously completed in a competitive or excepted service position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
FOR THE GS-15 LEVEL:Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties:
Developing and overseeing information technology (IT) policy for use organization-wide;
Utilizing research and analysis to strategically implement IT policy across an organization;
Presenting and defending an organization's policy position at high-level meetings with senior leaders and stakeholders; and
Performing a variety of supervisory functions such as identifying training opportunities for subordinate staff, interviewing and hiring new employees, assigning work, and/or evaluating employee performance.
