About the Position: **This is a TERM position NTE 2 years Term appointments may be extended up to 6 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations; may be converted to permanent status without further competition at the discretion of management and if the incumbent meets the eligibility criteria for specific appointment authorities (i.e.Reinstatement, 30% Disabled Veterans, etc.)*
Duties
Plan certifying events, culminating training exercises and mission readiness exercises for subordinate brigades to ensure they are prepared for real world situations.
Work directly with units and joint forces supporting exercises to ensure that exercise support for air and missile defense and missile launches are executed effectively.
Serve as the lead recorder for after-action reviews and compile lessons learned into products for dissemination across the joint air and missile defense enterprise.
Participate in annual and/or quarterly contract reviews to recommend possible changes to technical specifications.
Implement changes and interpret regulations to contract specifications using the Performance of Work Statement (PWS)
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 20% of the time.
- May be required to work irregular hours to include overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This is a Term appointment NTE 2 Years.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes exercise planning and execution timelines, development of operational training exercise scenarios, collaborating with Action Officers on exercise requirements, and making recommendations to senior leaders for force requirements and training.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
