This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, San Francisco Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of examining accounting-related functions and activities in FDIC-insured depository institutions.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Applicant must be a commissioned Risk Examiner.
To qualify for the CG-13, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience examining accounting-related activities and serving as a technical expert to bank examination staff regarding accounting, auditing, regulatory reporting, regulatory capital and depository institution tax of insured depository institutions.
To qualify for the CG-14, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience directing the accounting and auditing-related segment of bank exam accounting-related activities and serving as a technical expert to bank examination staff, accountants or management regarding accounting, auditing, regulatory reporting, regulatory capital and depository institution tax of insured depository institutions.
Applicants eligible for CTAP (Career Transition Assistance Program) or ICTAP (Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program) must achieve a score of 80 or higher in the online assessment to be determined “well qualified” for this position. For more information, click here
