Qualifications
All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the private sector leading a team in; designing, developing, advising, implementing, evaluating process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools; conducting internal management consulting engagements and projects.
Examples include: Facilitating process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other continuous process improvement strategies; leading process improvement projects; conducting analyses for process improvement, improving quality, or reducing costs; establishing the appropriate metrics for measuring cost reduction and quality improvement and providing technical direction in process improvement analysis; consulting managers and staff on complex business projects and implementing programs and processes.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
