This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. This position serves as a first line supervisor and program manager for all visitor services functions of the Library, including admissions and special events. The incumbent is responsible for logistical planning, support, and execution for the programs and events as well as implementing regulations governing use of government facilities.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Experience in event management/hospitality, or related field, to help produce events from conception to completion; such as conferences, meetings, and/or special events; AND
Conducting tours of an organization's facility, in order to promote use of the facility for special events; AND
Providing training and/or mentoring to staff members in the duties of monitoring special events, programs and/or visitor services.
OR
EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
