Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations, Domain Operations.

Duties

In this position, you will serve as a Lead Business Authority managing the air, maritime or land Domain Awareness Portfolios which make up the DHS Domain Awareness Network. This position starts at a salary of $132,368.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $172,075.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $172,075 (GS-14 Step 10). Major duties will include: Identifying and recommending modifications to portfolio requirements as necessary for sensor and information sharing systems that are part of the DHS Domain Awareness Network. Analyzing, facilitation, reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements. Leading the evaluation of emerging sensor technologies to meet future DHS mission requirements. Incumbent identifies and assesses the applicability of sensor technologies that detect and track suspected illicit activity in order to increase the DHS's Domain Awareness Network capability. Identifiing and recommending modifications to policy requirements and strategic guidance to ensure efficient governance and operation of the DHS Domain Awareness Network.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS 14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: serving as subject matter expert on air, maritime, land sensor/radar and information sharing systems; assisting in the design and development of plans to increase the coverage volume, the probability detection, and detection range, detection in clutter environments, interoperability, and integration of the respective components of the network; serving as a subject matter expert for the DHS Domain Awareness Network portfolios.
