This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The purpose of this position is to serve as a member of one of the Reference Service teams, located within one of the Core Units, Military Personnel Records (MPR) Center or Civilian Personnel Records (CPR) Center, National Personnel Records Center (NPRC), National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-06. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As an Archives Technician, you will:

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: For the GS-04 grade level, you must have one year of general experience which includes progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. OR Education: 2 years of education above high school. OR Combination of general experience and education. You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
