About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS Force Projection. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS & PEO GCS, with duty location at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.

Duties

Serves as a Program Officer for various ACAT I, II and/or III programs within the Project/Product Managers (PM) Office. Coordinates and develops procedures relating to financial management, acquisition, implementation, distribution, and logistical support for the hardware, software, supplies, and services required by the project. Evaluates financial resources in light of the technological capabilities available in the commercial marketplace. Ensures review and, if necessary, rewrite or develop regulatory documentation specifically for the project and recommend appropriate actions to obtain approval. Projects major project milestones and events necessary to complete the strategic implementation of the acquisition project. Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, specifications, acquisition plans and evaluations plans. Briefs senior level management, OSD and DA on status of the assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for advanced certification in (A) Program Management within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Managing system design, development, acquisition planning and programming; 2) Developing, coordinating, and justifying of a comprehensive Program Objective Memorandum (POM) brief for multi-million dollar programs; 3) Conducting studies and evaluating programs to determine effective use of resources; 4) Preparing and presenting information decision briefings. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent).
