Duties

Be a successful applicant. Watch this 5 minute video to learn how to create a federal resume. Employee serves as a Maintenance Mechanic assigned to the Facilities Management Branch. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following: Installs, repairs, modifies, and maintains buildings and associated systems and equipment. Lays out work, determines requirements, draws materials and carries assignment to completion utilizing established trade techniques and adhering to safety requirements and national building codes Performs plumbing, masonry, roofing repairs and reconstruction. Replaces windows, doors, soffit and gutter systems and installs simple photovoltaic systems. Constructs structures such as wooden and masonry amphitheater seating. Submits recommendations for modifications to existing equipment and systems to improve overall safety and operation. Performs other duties as assigned.
