Fort McCoy Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources Office, is looking for a motivated professional to join the as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, NF-201-04. Position is located in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Announcement has a first cut-off date, applicants that apply on or before 22 November 2023, may be sent first for consideration. Duties

Supervises a team of employees providing services to the Garrison Commanders or equivalents, program managers, supervisors and serviced employees in areas of NAF HR. Executes a wide range of personnel actions for managers and employees of serviced organizations. Ensures compliance in the administration of pay, position management, classification, employee benefits and performance. Identifies areas of best practice, gaps, weaknesses and strengths within the provided services. Develops presentations, briefings and information papers to convey topics, investigative findings, status updates to management officials.

  • A one year probationary period may be required
  • A one year supervisory probationary period may be required
  • Occasional travel for work purposes is required
  • Complete CHRA NAF Career Path IV within 24 months of placement in position

Qualifications

1. Possess eighteen (18) months of work experience in a human resources environment which demonstrates knowledge applying HR concepts principles, laws, regulations, and practices. 2. Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex operational matters. 3. Prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams) or similar. 4. Experience using reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects Applications, Cognos, etc.) and the ability to use various HR systems or tools. The experience and ability listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Highly Preferred: In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office. Applicants that meet Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list
