This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operations Division Office Of Foreign Operations (OF), International Affairs Section (OFI) This position's primary purpose provides administrative and personnel support to all Foreign personnel and those domestic employees selected for transfer to a foreign post.

As a your typical work assignments may include: Formulates resource utilization plans, establishes time frames, and responds to programmatic questions. Reviewing all monthly schedules and Interfaces dally with Supervisors to ensure that any personnel or staffing are coordinated. Coordinating of office moves, office construction, and other facility improvements. Overseeing the obligation of funds, authorizing payments, and directing the return of any unused funds. Serving as the organization's liaison with the DEA property and supply office. Monitoring, tracking and reporting on program obligations.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the Basic Requirements and Specialized Experience as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualifications claims will be subject to verification. You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent GS-07 and/or GS-09. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes: You may qualify at the GS-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: GS-09: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 Federal grade level performing such duties as: 1) Reviewing and evaluating completed staff actions (memos, reports, studies, fact sheets, information papers) for overall quality of the document, appropriate levels of coordination, and compliance with policy; 2) Independently plans, writes correspondence and special reports, or other working administrative documents related to clearly structured work assignments or developmental activities; 3) Maintaining the property book and hand receipts for Government property, including storage, issue and disposal for the organization. OR Have a two (2) full academic years of graduate level education or completion of all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or completion of all requirements for an LL.B or J.D. degree, if related. OR Have a combination of both, education and experience. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector, which demonstrates your ability in: 1) Reviewing and evaluating completed staff actions (memos, reports, studies, fact sheets, information papers) for overall quality of the document, appropriate levels of coordination, and compliance with policy; 2) Developing and implementing feasible and effective plans for space control and assignment of HQs allocated office space and requirements for new or different space; 3) Independently plans, writes correspondence and special reports, or other working administrative documents related to clearly structured work assignments or developmental activities; 4) Coordinating all property management functions which include overseeing the preparation of necessary documents for the accession and de-accession of property. GS-11: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 Federal grade level performing such duties as planning and scheduling briefings, presentations, memoranda, teletypes, and letters as they relate to a variety of personnel issues, and implementing training programs for administrative and clerical personnel. OR Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related. OR Have a combination of both, education and experience. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
