About the Position: This position is located at Fairchild Air Force Base in Airway Heights, WA.

Duties

Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized supply items based on usage, inventory, project demand, seasonal demand, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. Conduct extensive and exhaustive research of catalog information to locate more cost effective, available substitutes and new products. Identify potential discrepancies, resolve those which involve special program requirements for urgent, critical shortage items requiring specialized procedures and efforts. Input screening request to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers. Perform document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions. Maintain liaison with customers and other local offices resulting in effective and timely handling of urgent, critical shortage, and other special items. Review files ensuring accurate coding and deletion of outdated materials.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
