About the Position: This position is located at Fairchild Air Force Base in Airway Heights, WA.
Duties
Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
Provide support for service, repair, and purchase of medical materiel and/or parts requiring special handling.
Review requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine if priority supply action is required, the status of the action, changes in requirements, and unexpected requirements.
Assist account custodians with determining stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
Identify potential discrepancies and resolves those which involve special program requirements for urgent, critical shortage items requiring specialized procedures and efforts.
Compile statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.
Perform a wide variety of record keeping, updating manuals on policies, directives, reporting, and informational duties in support of the organization’s programs, functions, and projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting inventory, providing customer assistance, and maintaining supply records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
