You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Nuclear Material Division, Nuclear Engineering Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will establish methods of operation for the accomplishment of supply functions related to the support of naval nuclear material. You will coordinate material ordering of shipyard departments involved with supply support for the repair and alteration of naval nuclear propulsion plants. You will develop and implement procurements procedures and computer based performance standards for stocking of material. You will develop and implement scheduling, reporting, and evaluation of procedures necessary to manage and direct shipyard supply support. You will manage information related to material lead time, material status, and requisitioning procedures. You will coordinate with supply system item managers and procurement personnel to expedite the shipment and receipt of material.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and analyzing supply operations by reviewing inventory data and coordinating material procurement to ensure supply or material inventory is available for use in an industrial facility.
