You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND.
Duties
You will assist with internal and external inventory audit support across all inventory segments.
You will investigate problems as they occur, recommend resolutions, and report to their chain of command.
You will identify and define reporting and reconciliation processes from site system to Navy ERP.
You will assist FLC organic and external customers in developing work methods, techniques, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for NWCF-SM operations.
You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a thorough knowledge of OSD/Navy supply management and inventory accuracy regulations/policies.
You will conduct and coordinate oversight for local Inventory Management.
You will be responsible for ensuring transactions and material movements are entered into Navy ERP.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector performing Inventory Management Specialist work, applying a practical knowledge of governing inventory management and supply regulations, inventory accuracy policies and physical inventory, location survey and/or quality control procedures, in order to research, analyze, investigate and recommend solutions to discrepancies that occur, evaluate and improve accountability procedures and inventory record accuracy. I have experience using material management processes and various IT systems (e.g. eRetrograde Management System (eRMS), Commercial Asset Visibility (WebCAV) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to ensure accuracy of data entry and maintenance of inventory. I have experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of supply inventory management programs in order to consider and recommend the implementation of new procedures and methods to increase managerial effectiveness. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Monitor performance measures related to material inventory control to ensure timeframe and benchmarks are being met in order to present data to a supervisor; 2) Ensure data integrity of all inventory transactions and material movements entered into Navy ERP; 3) Research inventory data and information, analyze that information and convert that analysis into written reports; 4) Participate in providing training and guidance regarding inventory management and accuracy in accordance with policy; and 5) Conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for information and reconstructing inventory management records/ supply/transportation transactions in order to ensure inventory record accuracy and auditability.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
