This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary (ODAS), Division of Policy Development.

Major duties for the GS-15 at the full performance level:

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
  • Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
  • Requires a supervisory probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
  • This position is outside the bargaining unit.

Qualifications

You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Supervisory Policy Advisor, GS-0301-15 as described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-14 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience serving as an expert on a full range of complex policy issues related to disability, administrative and operational activities to include at least 3 of the following: Managing policy processes in relation to persons with disabilities. Proposing and addressing major policy issues and rendering advice and assistance in the administration of policy guidelines. Experience with broad technology policy issues such as those related to accessible technology for persons with disabilities. Analyzing, developing, and/or implementing policies related to the employment of people with disabilities. Leading or overseeing teams in a multi-stakeholder organization. Education

Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience at the GS-15 grade level.
