As a Supervisory Project Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and facilitation of high level program and project management functions of complex, mid-size to large politically sensitive customer assigned projects.
The position is with General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, National Capital Region.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Responsible for the overall management and facilitation of high level program and project management functions of complex, mid size to large politically sensitive customer assigned projects. Understands how new business is generated and facilitates the service delivery of existing business. Ensures the coordination of planning and program implementation with other Public Buildings Service Divisions. Provides oversight to include major project tracking, status and budgetary control with national and regional databases.
Develops and defines short and long term strategies to meet the needs and requirements of customer agencies and to promote their satisfaction with Public Buildings Service products and services. Maximizes and strengthens customer relationships by understanding and managing customer expectations and perceptions. Regularly meets with agency points of contact to resolve potential or existing problems impacting the customer agency mission.
Addresses problems and concerns raised by customer agencies. Investigates and oversees resolution of source problems and validates findings. Recommends corrective action, and resolves challenges to the mutual benefit and satisfaction of all parties involved. Expedites requests for services when such requests are unique, or the result of a problem situation, or are too urgent to be handled through normal channels.
Supervises a staff of government employees and contracted employees responsible for the overall management and facilitation of high level program and project management. Manages objectives and provides authoritative advice and guidance to ensure the effective delivery of the program.
Establishes and maintains a point of contact with federal officials from GSA’s customer agencies and plays the role of “consumer advocate” on their behalf by maintaining an open dialogue with them; regularly meets with agency point of contacts to resolve potential or existing problems affecting their agency’s mission as a result of less than optimum service delivery, and confers with PBS Division Directors to remedy these problems. Maximizes and strengthens customer relationships by understanding and managing customer expectations and perceptions.

- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable

The GS-14 salary range starts at $132,368 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience developing and defining short-and long-term strategies to meet the needs and requirements of customer agencies and to promote their satisfaction with products and services. Experience must include providing the overall management of program objectives as well as providing authoritative advice and guidance to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of project management work for its client agencies and other related stakeholders and partners.
