You will serve as a Lead Electronics Technician (F-35 LiftSystem Engineering Technician) in the F-35 Lightning Support Team, of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will be responsible for providing team leadership and technical engineering input overall development, acquisition and sustainment of Test Equipment You will be working closely with members of the Industrial Operations Management Department. You will lead a team of multiple engineers and technicians working as a technical expert to one of the functional areas: Gearbox/Engine Test Cells, APUs'/Pneumatics; Hydraulics/Fuels. You will lead a team by planning, balancing and distributing workload; monitoring project progress and status. You will be responsible for the day-to-day TE troubleshooting and maintenance (Planning, executing, problem-mitigation design and follow-up) of assigned systems. .

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Demonstrating a working knowledge of development, activation, operation, and sustainment of both the Rolls Royce TC157 and FRC-E Lift System Test Facility and associated systems; 2) Developing, maintaining, and correlating US Navy and US Marine Corps test cells; 3) Communicating, directing, and teaming with OEM Contractors and supporting US Navy organizations on projects involving US Navy and US Marine Corps test cells; 4) Directing team members technical work for projects involving US Navy and US Marine Corps test cells; 5) Demonstrating extensive knowledge of Turbofan test facilities and associated SE to include instrumentation specifications, test facility management, and operator training development, calibration, and correlation processes; 6) Exercising engineering cognizance to solve problems in support of fleet, depot, and test system activities while considering operational costs and efficiency; 7) Planning work, instructs, and advises others with diverse backgrounds and disciplines through training, motivation, and guidance; 8) Communicating technical matters at various levels of technical complexity to technical and non-technical audiences.
