Duties
Facilitates alignment of content and instruction with assessments that measure performance in PK-12 Health and Physical Education ranging from traditional test scores to performance indicators and tasks and related scoring rubrics.
Identifies viable and feasible performance measures to monitor the support and improvement of student achievement associated with the college and career readiness and health and wellness standards for grades PK-12.
Provides direct content-specific leadership and system wide management for the health education and physical education programs for grades PK-12.
Creates an aligned system with clear, sequential expectations to prepare all students for college and career readiness.
Collaborates with other education program specialists to ensure essential components of instruction and content are integrated with content delivery.
Supports teacher growth through focused learning about, development of, and use of informal, formative and summative classroom assessments.
The incumbent has Contracting Officer Represent (COR) responsibilities for multiple contracts which include developing Statement of Work (SOW), monitoring contracts to ensure technical services are provided.
Requirements

- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDEA location.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Minimum Education Requirement: A Master's degree in the field of Education. The course work must have been completed at or accepted by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.

Specialized Experience Requirement (5 years): Specialized experience is experience gained in teaching, educational research, development of educational materials and aids, educational testing, educational administration, or comparable activities in an elementary and/or secondary school, which has clearly demonstrated success in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of education and familiarity with current developments in PreK-12th grade education and training. This experience must have been in Health and Physical Education.
Professional Licensure/Certification Requirement: Applicants must be currently certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards as a Teacher, Health (categories 0234 or 0334) and Teacher, Physical Education (categories 0155 or 0355). A minimum of 12 semester hours of undergraduate or graduate level course work in health and physical education is required.

Education
Foreign Degrees and Course Work from Non-accredited Institutions: Credits or degrees earned from a foreign college or university must be evaluated prior to acceptance. Three evaluation procedures are acceptable:
1. The work may be evaluated and interpreted by the International Education Research Foundation, Inc., Credential Evaluation Service, Post Office Box 3665, Culver City, CA 90231-3665 or www.ierf.org/ or 310-258-9451.
2. The foreign institution that awarded the degree is on a list endorsed by a regionally accredited university or on a list endorsed by a state department of education for the purpose of teacher certification in that state (this procedure will require an English translation of the transcript and a copy of the document awarding the degree, together with an authenticated list produced by an American university or a state department of education); and3. The work may be evaluated by the graduate division of a regionally accredited university and declared the equivalent of similar undergraduate or graduate work in a U.S. institution.
Graduates of non-accredited institutions may have their undergraduate work validated by admittance to graduate school and completion of a minimum of 5 SH of credit in a regionally accredited graduate college.
