About the Position:
This is a PERMANENT position as an Equal Employment Manager located at US Army Central Command Group, Shaw AFB, SC.
ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".
Duties
Directs and manages the EEO program and endorses all phases of design, planning, organizing, managing, marketing, executing, reviewing and evaluating the program at a major Army service component command.
Oversees preparation of the Commands annual and multi-year Affirmative Employment Plans for Minorities and Women, Individuals with Disabilities (IWD) and Disabled Veterans (DV) programs.
Oversees Special Emphasis Programs (SEP).
Plans, prepares, develops, implements, and monitors the Management Directive 715 Report.
Develops and conducts briefings for the Commander, managers and supervisors to discuss the status of the work force composition and evaluates organizational accomplishments of Management Directive 715 Report objectives.
Outlines policy objectives, sets priorities, and provides technical advice and guidance.
Participates in policy briefings and other meetings with members of the command staff, and in conferences, seminars, etc., with high level Government and private officials.
Reviews, analyzes and evaluates command-wide EEO program initiatives and activities to identify barriers.
Analyzes individual complaints to identify common problems and trends and develops preventative strategies.
Requirements

- Temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 25% required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required if not already completed in accordance with the 5 CFR criteria.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) managing all phases of an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program to include designing, planning, organizing, managing, marketing, executing, reviewing, and evaluating the Program; 2) identifying equal opportunity problems and developing concrete resolution recommendations; 3)improving mission effectiveness by promoting and implementing equal opportunity programs for employees; 4) gathering data, fact-finding, and evaluating EEO data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
