You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC (VLFT) in the Communications Department of the Naval Radio Station (NRS) of NRS T JIM CREEK.
Duties
You will perform repairs, installation and overhaul of various electronic components under the guidance of a journeyman electronics mechanic.
You will perform assigned maintenance procedures utilizing the Maintenance and Material Management system, carrying out preventative maintenance and repair on various electronic and electrical devices.
You will routinely operate a personal computer to record various transmitter logs.
You will process incoming and outgoing messaged traffic and assist in maintaining message center records as assigned.

Reading and interpreting blueprints, circuit diagrams, programmable logic circuitry, technical equipment maintenance and operations manuals to repair electronic equipment,
Using a wide variety or electronic test instruments,
Using hand tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills, taps, dies, wire strippers, soldering irons, solder pots, heat sinks, and solder extractors,
Using standard computer programs such as Word, Access, Excel, etc.
