Salary: $98 496 - 147 793 per year

As a Supervisory Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist you will direct a District Office EEO Investigation Program and report directly to the District Manager of Field Operations. The incumbent will have full authority to plan, organize, direct, staff, review, and evaluate the District EEO Investigation Program. The incumbent provides the full range of supervisory responsibilities for subordinates including investigators and support staff.

Duties

Responsible for daily operation of the district investigation program. Develop strategic goals for the investigation program to monitor progress. Prepare briefing materials based on investigation program performance for leadership. Analyze precedential court decisions that apply to both the national and local levels. Coach EEO investigators on policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal laws and ORMDI operating procedures.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel Management's group coverage qualification standards, associated individual occupational requirements (IOR), and individual qualification standards covering white collar occupations in the Federal competitive service can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: (1) Mentoring EEO investigators on policies and procedures; (2) Providing technical guidance regarding EEO processes; and (3) Monitoring performance goals that align with the plans of a district office or federal agency.

Education

There is no educational substitution for the GS-13 level.
