Duties

Interpret budget laws and/or regulations to advise management on specific financial issues. Analyze activity budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding to allocate funds to individual activities. Compile budget data to develop reports that monitor expenditures and/or obligations. Use various automated financial systems to develop budget requests (i.e. budget forecasts) to assure requirements are met. Assist in the preparation of budget summaries to be submitted to higher headquarters for review. Deliver formal presentations of the budgets to higher headquarters officials to answer question and provide clarification.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
