This position is located at the Fort Yuma Service Unit, Winterhaven, CA. This position is responsible for various Supply Management, and Property Management functions such as procurement, inventory control, storage, issuance accountability, utilization, transportation, and other services.

Duties

Maintain stock control records, issues, receipts, storage allocation, stock control levels, variance and inventory adjustments using a Supply Management System. Reviews documents for accuracy, notes discrepancies. Responsible for setting discrepancies overage, incorrect prices, disposal of obsolete or expired stores items. Maintains files of all surveillance, correspondence, sample determinations, and other pertinent contract data. Investigates vehicle accidents and directs preparation of documents for submission to the area office and General Services Administration. Provides general services functions such as mail operations procurement, and travel and transportation.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignments; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical, knowledge of standard procedures. A certification is a preferred requirement to maintain Federal Acquisition Certifcation for Contracting Officer's Representatives (FAC-COR) Level I or higher. Typing Proficiency: Must meet typing proficiency by passing the appropriate performance test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificates or by self-certifying proficiency. Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
