The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is accepting applications for Building Automation Technology Aide summer internships that offer skill enrichment and experiential learning while promoting careers in the public service.

Duties

Building Automation Technology Aide:  In this role student employees will assist journey-level employees, gaining skills and understanding of the installation and troubleshooting of modern building automation systems. Students will learn to analyze interoperability and energy management as they apply to vertically and horizontally integrated buildings control systems.

Requirements

• You must be a U.S. Citizen.
• You must be able to pass a drug test.
• Your resume and question responses must demonstrate the job-related KSAs.
• You must meet the requirements for the summer internship.

Qualifications

All students must be U.S. or A person who is lawfully admitted for permanent residence and is seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)(B); A person who is admitted as a refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157 or is granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1158 and has filed a declaration of intention to become a lawful permanent resident and then a citizen when eligible; Applications will be accepted from students who are at least sixteen (16) years of age by June 30, 2024, AND currently attending a college, university, or trade school.Are you a student seeking a post-secondary education certificate in a trade or technical school, an associate degree, or bachelor's degree in the Building Arts AND taking classes in Building Automation Technology, Engineering Technology, Control Engineering Technology, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study? Note: Participation in the Summer Intern Employment Program is limited to a total of three years. Candidates are eligible to participate no more than three years, collectively or consecutively, in the Summer Intern Employment Program. Candidates who have reached the three years in the program will be deemed ineligible to participate this calendar year.

To be eligible, you must be a current student who meets the following requirements:
