Duties
This position is located within the Immediate Office of the Secretary. The incumbent provides administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director within the Office of Internal and External Affairs (OIEA).
At the full performance level (GS-11) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Handles administrative, coordination, and technical assignments which require the ability to interact effectively with high-ranking officials inside and outside the Department.
2. Oversees, creates, develops, and executes daily briefing and schedule.
3. Tracks and follows up on pending assignments to assure appropriate and timely responses.
4. Oversees arrangements for meetings and conferences with key officials and/or representatives from within or outside the Department.
5. Assist with the preparation of briefing books for speeches and meetings.
6. Oversees and maintain SharePoint filing system for all shared documents.
7. Responsible for the Director, Deputy Director and other senior level officials, domestic/international travel.
Salary Information: GS-11: $78,592 - $102,166 per year. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level you must meet the (A) Specialized Experience OR (B) Educational Requirement OR (C) Combination of Education and Experience.
NOTE: Applicants qualifying based in whole or part on education are required to provide transcripts (unofficial) as proof of meeting the requirements. Failure to provide the documents will result in you receiving an INELIGIBLE rating.
A. Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-11, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equips the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1) Processing correspondence, memoranda, and/or documents; 2) Performing database management to include editing, updating, and communication of upcoming of deadlines; 3) Analyzing data to develop and provide recommendations to senior leaders; and 4) Preparing travel documents, vouchers, and authorizations in accordance with travel guidelines. MUST MEET ALL.

B. Educational Requirement: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

C. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of specialized experience and educationin excess of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education that totals 100% of the requirement.
