This position is located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR), Systemic Risk Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support to FDIC management, staff, and contractors in the work of the Policy Analysis section.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-09 Level:
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 7 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience assisting with research and analysis or providing drafting support related to regulatory policies affecting U.S. financial institutions or the financial industry.
OR
EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Major field of study: finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, banking and credit, law, public policy, or other fields related to the position.
OR
COMBINATION: Appplicants must posses a combination of education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the educational requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
CG-11 Level:
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 9 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience is experience assisting in the drafting of regulatory policies or researching and providing written analysis on policies affecting U.S. financial institutions or the financial industry.
OR
EDUCATION: To qualify based on education, applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Major field of study: finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, banking and credit, law, public policy, or other fields related to the position.
OR
COMBINATION: Applicants must possess a combination of graduate level education as described above, and the specialized experience as described above, that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.
CG-12 Level:
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing and assisting in drafting of regulatory, legislative or corporate policies affecting U.S. financial institutions, stability of the U.S. financial system, or the financial industry.
