Duties

You will be responsible for developing and submitting permit applications, researching and enforcing permit conditions, and identifying and resolving compliance problems. You will coordinates environmental program inspections to ensure compliance with applicable Navy, State, Federal, and local regulatory regulations and policies. You will work with other personnel in planning, and regularly communicate with installation tenants and stakeholders in support of mission objectives.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing, updating and implementing environmental protection plans; 2) Ensuring compliance with Federal, State and DoD environmental regulations to recommend changes and control measures; 3) Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning efficiency and effectiveness of environmental program operations.; and 4) Coordinating and executing an Inspection Program for environmental compliance program management Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
