You will serve as a Training Technician (OA) in the Training Department of NAV SCHOOL EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL.
Duties
You will proofread letters or other documents (e.g., training material, instruction materials) for spelling or typographical errors.
You will review plans, programs and executes all routine tasks in time-sensitive manners and initiates updates to current methods and procedures.
You will use online student management systems (e.g., Corporate Enterprise Training and Administration Resources System [CETARS]).
You will resolve problems related to education rules and procedures.
You will respond to questions or problems identified by conducting research of the student information in the system.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- The position requires some walking, standing, bending, and lifting to accomplish functional tasks as required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying rules, procedures, terminology or requirements related to training and educational activities; 2) Performing clerical steps in processing training and education documents; 3) Interacting with customers to provide information associated with students, training, training schedules, training processes and procedures; and 4) Operating advanced functions of a variety of office automation software including but not limited to MS Office (word, excel access, power point and outlook).
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
