This position is located at Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Medium Range Recovery (MRR), Product Line, MRR Supply Branch, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Duties
The incumbent performs regular and recurring duties on an assigned group of non-complex aircraft parts and/or components in support of the Coast Guard aviation program categorized as meeting one or more of the following conditions; has a low degree of technical difficulty, consumable material, low demand repairable, routine and steady demand patterns and is of a low value that has a minimal impact on the budget or overall program cost.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Qualifications
Applicants for the GS-09 grade level must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service applying basic knowledge of directives, policies, and procedures governing inventory management principles, laws, and regulations to provide basic information to managers and employees about common issues or problems related to supply requirements, and experience working with automated inventory control systems. Applicants may also qualify at the GS-09 grade level by successful completion of a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B or J.D., if related, from an accredited college or university.
Applicants for the GS-11 grade level must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing work such as long range supply and demand planning; analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of supply programs and or operations; analyzing and resolving difficult/unusual issues and problems with inventory management; and, initiating and monitoring the procurement of items characterized by a long or fluctuating procurement lead time where there are difficult supply and demand patterns. Applicants may also qualify at the GS-11 grade level by successful completion of a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related, from an accredited college or university. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
