This HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) position, is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS) unit and is part of the CA 146 AW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY), GS-0201-9, is to serve on the Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS). The incumbent will administer and direct the Group Commander's Support Staff functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Additionally, trains in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Qualifications

General Experience: Possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs. HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY), GS-0201-9: Must have at least 24 months experience using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments; Experience performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data; Experience operating a computer and using varied computer programs; Experience of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee; Experience using human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency.
