This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Located in central New Jersey, Burlington County, Fort Dix is 72 miles south of New York City, 34 miles north of Philadelphia. Close to the Jersey shore, Fort Dix is within driving distance of a variety of leisure activities, museums, fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking locations, etc.

Duties

Budget for ASA, Fort Dix, and Devens, Reserve Training Area emphasizing budget programs. Budget Formulation by analyzing budget guidance from Higher Headquarters. Budget Execution by preparing the installation execution plan. Personnel Management through distributing work and providing technical guidance to subordinates.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) experience overseeing aspects of planning, formulating, and executing a federal budget; 2) developing, recommending, and/or implementing budgetary and financial policies and procedures; 3) providing authoritative budgetary advice and interpretations of law and policy; 4) and experience communicating orally and in writing to present budget and financial information to senior managers and leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
