This position is in the Office of Mission Support; Office of Human Capital Operations; Labor, Suitability and Conduct Division; Labor Relations and Investigations Branch. About: The Office of Mission Support This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).*Work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as leading or advising on the negotiation of union-initiated issues; evaluating strategies, programs, and policies related to labor relations; and coaching, mentoring, or leading others. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Ability to advise on labor relations issues, policies, and activities; 2) Skill in negotiation; 3) Skill in conducting investigations; 4) Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; 5) Ability to make recommendations on work methods, practices, and procedures; 6) Skill in performance management; 7) Skill in oral communication; 8) Ability to develop strategies for national labor and employee relations issues. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
