NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities.

Duties

Collaborates on the planning an execution of current and future operational needs. Oversees agency annual physical property inventory. Directs work requirements related to security, key systems, system repairs, and use of personal property. Serves as a liaison on matters related building workspace and service requirements. Assists in preparation of various reports related to building safety. Establishes and maintains an internal budget system for the control of all funds allocated to the office. Assists in the development and execution of personnel policies and practices. Reviews Endowment inventory control system for all accountable property, which includes maintenance and control of property records, periodic inventory of property, and maintenance of depreciable accounts in connection with replacement plans.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. At the GS-11 level Qualified candidates must possess: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level or equivalent experience. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, for example: experience determining equipment, facility, or service deficiencies to identify appropriate resolutions; forecasting equipment usage rates to establish initial repair or replacement factors; preparing or monitoring budget inputs based on plans for equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement actions; completed training coursed related to property management, experience providing printing and mailing support, security, and vendor coordination related to large scale event planning. or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. or A combination of education and experience as outlined in the administrative and management qualification standard (https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/tabs/group-standards/).
