About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily child care available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.) Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

Duties

Perform short/long range planning to develop goals, policies, projects, and deadlines and streamline procedures. Provide technical guidance to subordinate supervisors on various projects relating to quality assurance or process management. Review changes to organizational policies and procedures to ensure continuity of operations. Develop policy or concepts impacting a program which may encompass very broad and complex projects.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Duty Travel, TDY may be required up to 5% of the time.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• Obtain and maintain Lean Six Sigman Black Belt initial certification within 2 two years of appointment.
• Meet all requirements for DA level two (2) certification within 24 months of being placed in the position.
