This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost. Youth and daily childcare facilities are available. Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.
Duties
Supervises a team of General Schedule Specialists.
Evaluates operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment.
Oversees the Depot's Continuous Process Improvement Programs
Oversees the Depot?s ERP programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must pass the Army Lean Six Sigma Black Belt exam and receive Army Black Belt candidate status within 24 Months.
- Must meet DA level two (2) certification within 24 months of appointment.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Managing a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program; Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates; Directing team members in the analysis and resolution of issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS11).
