This position is located within the Deputy Inspector General for Evaluations, Space, Intelligence, Engineering, and Oversight Division. In this position, you will serve as an Evaluator under the Program Director for Intelligence and will be responsible to perform broad and complex assignments for the Intelligence division. Duties

Serves as an advisor and specialist in all matters related to the defense intelligence enterprise and others. Plans and manages projects of the effectiveness and efficiency of highly complex DoD-wide programs. Manages complex reviews of intelligence enterprise issues, develops and applies analytical techniques in the planning and execution of projects; participates in inter-agency projects of issues impacting the Intelligence Community. Oversees and directs and controls all phases of the project to achieve the desired results. Ensures the projects are conducted in a manner that satisfies evaluation objectives. Prepares complete and acceptable information to keep the OIG management apprised of the program status and issues. Prepares and staffs draft and final reports for each project and the final summary or trend reports within assigned functional areas. Supervises a staff of senior analysts and evaluators. Strives to increase productivity of the staff; plans and assigns work and established priorities and deadlines, considering the relative difficulty of the work and the capabilities of the staff. Supervises several teams of civilian and military personnel, performing unique, highly complex and sensitive reviews of various programs. Manages multiple projects at any given time meeting all milestones.

  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
  • The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct.
  • You may be required to complete a financial disclosure (OGE-450).

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-13 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in a supervisory or lead capacity experience overseeing a staff of senior analysts and evaluators who are responsible for all matters related to defense intelligences enterprise, special access programs and security issues; managing reviews of security programs to include developing and applying analytical techniques and evaluative methodology and the planning and execution of projects; collection, analysis, and production of sensitive information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience. Only experience and/or education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GS-14 grade level.
