This PERSONNEL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUPERVISOR is located in Directorate of Personnel and Community Activities Division (DPCA) of an Army National Guard Garrison Training Center (GTC) and is part of the CA Training Site CSLO.

Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the PERSONNEL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUPERVISOR, GS-0301-12, is to manage and provide supervision of the employees within the DPCA. The DPCA provides management advisory, technical, procedural, and evaluative assistance within the areas of family, medical, education, personnel, and business operations to the employees assigned to the GTC and its customer base.

Qualifications

PERSONNEL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUPERVISOR, GS-0301-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience applying analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives; Experience serving as a first-level supervisor; Experience attending meetings, communicates, and coordinates with local and other federal, state, and city officials, and civic organizations for the purpose of obtaining services, providing services, planning for future needs, and discussing community problems or development plans that affect training center operations and the community.
