The primary purpose of this position AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS REPAIR INSPECTOR WG-6652-12, is to inspect Aircraft Ordnance Systems, components, and equipment that has been repaired, modified, or overhauled to determine that functional and operational characteristics are within acceptable trade standards and specifications, and is turning out quality work.
Duties
Inspect Aircraft Ordnance Systems, components, and equipment that has been repaired, modified, overhauled, and functionally and operationally checked, Inspects the work of other egress technicians with authority to accept or reject work.
Repair, modify, and adjust the ordnance system to conform to specifications.
Load/unload, positions and safeties aircraft fire extinguisher system munitions using applicable technical data and handling equipment on A-10, F-22 and C-130 airframes and weapons pylon jettison cartridges on A-10 and F-16.
Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.
Ensure all ammunition turn-in documentation is correctly filled out and recorded.

required.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-6600 Armament Work Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic).
Use of Measuring Instruments.
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (includes blueprints reading).
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment.
Trouble shooting.

PHISICAL DEMANDS: The work requires standing, bending, stooping, climbing, stretching, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions and hard to reach places. Frequently lifts parts and equipment weighing in excess of 80 pounds with human or mechanical assistance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed either inside or outside, and subjects the incumbent to prevailing weather conditions, noise, slippery or uneven surfaces, and working in confined areas. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, burns, grease, oil, dirt, electrical shock, and possible injury when de-arming and arming the system.
