Duties
You will serve as a RADIAC PROGRAM ASSISTANT in the RADIOLOGICAL MONITORING DIVISION (CODE 105.3), RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE, PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD, KITTERY, ME.
You will provide administrative, technical and quality control assistance of radiation and radioactivity monitoring equipment to managerial and supervisory radiological control personnel.
You will administer, coordinate, and maintain the Shipyard's RADIAC equipment calibration program.
You will operate the RADIAC shipping and receiving area during specified timeframes.
You will administer and coordinate local and NPP requirements and procedures for the proper handling and control of radioactive check sources.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience providing administrative, technical, and quality control assistance of radiation and radioactivity monitoring equipment to managerial and supervisory personnel.
Experience administering, coordinating, and maintaining the Shipyard's Radiation Detection Indication and Computation (RADIAC) equipment calibration program.
Experience ensuring that an adequate number of instruments are available to support work operations. Experience providing training to civilian and military personnel on shipyard processes.
Experience tracking and maintaining RADIACs.
Experience utilizing the design, application, and use of all necessary radiological control instrumentation.
GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience providing administrative, technical, and quality control assistance of radiation and radioactivity monitoring equipment to managerial and supervisory personnel.
Experience administering, coordinating, and maintaining the Shipyard's Radiation Detection Indication and Computation (RADIAC) equipment calibration program.
