You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SECURITY) in the Information Technology Department of PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY.
Duties
You will lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of long- and short-term cybersecurity security plans and provide technical architecture and system reviews to PMRF project teams.
You will prepare and maintain the cybersecurity policy and process guidelines, provide consulting resources on new designs.
You will provide network and cybersecurity and risk management planning, strategic planning, management and technical oversight for the certification and accreditation of networks, systems, applications, and associated range IT Systems.
You will lead technical development or review and coordination of Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense operations support plans/procedures, and operations support plans that drive incident response.
You will conduct independent, comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited for range IT system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area ISSM (72) intermediate level within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience applying information technology (IT) security tools and practices (e.g., Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Endpoint Security Solutions) to provide cybersecurity and risk management planning for the certification and accreditation of networks, IT systems, and data for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
