These positions are located in the Maintenance Division at different parks. Please read below for additional information. Annual salary ranges by location: Antietam National Battlefield, Sharpsburg, Maryland - $23.27 to $27.07 per hour Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site, Williston, North Dakota - $22.89 to $26.70 per hour Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site only - You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.

Duties

Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds. Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures. Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets. Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed. Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures, and report discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items. May perform other duties such as painting, masonry work, roofing, welding, or assisting higher grade workers with maintenance of utility systems in the facility. Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic Use of Measuring Instruments Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
