Duties

You will manage a Microsoft active directory, InTune, Remedy, and Windows 11, MIM, maintaining available, reliable, and secured the information systems for personnel. You will install operating systems and all required software applications on all end user computing devices (e.g. workstations, laptops, tablets, smartphones, Internet connected devices). You will configure, triage, troubleshoot, and diagnosing hardware, software, printing, multifunction devices (MFDs}, telephone systems, and wireless mobile devices; hardware/software interoperability problems and maintain repairs. You will evaluate, research, report trends and patterns in customer support issues. You will create, track, and manage Service Desk Tickets and data in support of enterprise-wide IT Service Management initiatives; create and manage user accounts with appropriate user's rights to access network systems. You will establish and monitor telecommunications requirements; assisting staff in identifying and purchasing new equipment and services to meet the operational needs while in compliance with policies and directives. YOu will create/delete user accounts, and image/disable laptops.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a IAT Level II certification upon hiring or must be achieved within six months of start date along with a Windows 11 course test.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current Driver's license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Report testing and implementation plans to establish testing criteria of program projects are accurate and complete. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Recommend support requests for network services by administering systems support. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide formal or informal training ensuring users understand the relationships of the system and able to work with the system without interruption. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Test and analyze computer malfunctions to resolve physical operating problems. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Analyze network hardware and network operating system software integration to develop test procedures; configure system components (e.g., software, hardware, or other peripherals) to meet integrated systems objectives; diagnose networked system failures to isolate sources of problems between equipment, networks, systems software, and applications systems; resolve system problems in response to customer reported incidents by diagnosing situations on a case-by-case basis; and brief critical observations to senior leaders to recommend changes in current data management processes. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
  • I have successfully completed master's or equivalent graduate degree or
  • I have successfully completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or

  • I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
