You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

Duties
You will serve as an entry level Human Resource Specialist performing in connection with staffing, classification, Labor and Employee relations, and/or other HR specialty areas.
You will contribute to the timelines, reliability, acceptability, and accurate completion of the finished products of the unit.
You will provide input about, and interpret standard HR procedures, practices, and regulations.
You will analyze and interpret sources information in order to apply to specific areas of work.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Running reports from Human Resources systems to query, retrieve, and analyze information in order to complete assignments (i.e. DCPDS, USA Staffing, Onboarding Manager, HR Link); 2) Assist in resolving problems in one or more human resources specialties (staffing, classification, Labor and Employee relations, and/or other HR specialty areas); 3) Providing written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop papers, reports, and correspondence; and 4) Responding to general questions regarding human resources matters. Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education
OR
Successful completion of a bachelor degree with superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
QUALIFYING EDUCATION:
You are eligible for this appointing authority if you are an individual who: Completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associates, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution.
If you are a veteran who was unable to apply within two years of receiving your degree due to military service obligation, you have as long as six years after degree completion to apply.
