This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Executive Director, Office of Safety and Code Compliance.
The AOC seeks a versatile professional with strong communication and computer skills to develop, execute and/or manage the full range of day-to-day administrative activities within the office including budget execution, data analysis/reporting, procurement, records management, management analysis, information technology and special projects.
Duties
Tour of duty for this position is: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rotating shift work may also be required at management’s discretion.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
GS-12: Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to theGS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as having experience in at least 4 of the 5 following:
(1) Providing high-quality administrative support to senior executives within a fast-paced team environment with changing priorities;
(2) Serving as primary interface and liaison to the Human Capital Management Division (HCMD) for the coordination of all matters (ex: Time & Attendance , position classification, recruitment and staffing initiatives, employee and labor relations issues, human capital planning and performance management;
(3) Performing financial activities to include purchasing, budgeting and account reconciliation
(4) Purchases equipment, materials, supplies, services and tools to carry out the functions of the organization;
(5) Advises and recommends innovative approaches for avoiding and /or resolving problems and reducing conflicts.
Education alone cannot be used to qualify for the GS-12.
